Karachi: 8 hospitals across the country started collecting convalescent plasma for more clinical trials Pakistan's renowned hematologist on Saturday claimed successful clinical trial of passive immunization after coronavirus patient's recovery through plasma therapy. "Alhamdolillah, (by the grace of Allah) the first coronavirus patient treated through passive amoxinastion is restored, and discharged from hospital," anadolu agency told Dr Tahir shamas, head of national institute of blood diseases. He, however, refused to disclose the details of the patient, and the hospital where he was treated. Currently, he added, several covid-19 patients were undergoing plasma therapy as authorities set a target of 350 patients to undergo a clinical trial. Eight approved clinical trial facilities for convalescent plasma across Pakistan, the process of collecting plasma of patients recovered from coronavirus has already begun.
